By way of an Introduction…

I was offered the opportunity back in January 2026 to create an exhibition for the Clifftown Telephone Museum. My first thought was how it would be a good space in which to thank everyone who has assisted my journey to this point. When an list of who that would include was made, it turned out they were all women.

Poetry, for a very long time, was a solo pursuit. In the early days of my career, it felt pretty lonely on some days, especially with the constant rejection rate. However, in the last few years, all that has changed. The core relationships in my life, the hardcore supporters, have now been joined by new friends.

My circle has expanded.

Poetry is also a hell of a lot easier with people to ask for feedback from, with people to encourage and support me, and with mates to simply chill and chat to when it gets too much. I’ve changed an awful lot over the last three years. Some of it is age, but more is wrapped around my own idea of what progress really means.

Art is a pastime best experienced in a group, I have come to accept. Poetry is the most potent form of expression I have ever wielded, and I hope that the poems you will find here are a fair and decent reflection of those people who inspired them to come into being.

Thank you for looking, for reading, and I hope this space becomes a portal into a story of one life that would simply not exist as it does were it not for the other people who keep me focussed, fit and ferocious.

You are all absolute smashers ❤
